If your insurance covers nutrition counseling, there is no cost to you, unless your insurance plan requires a co-payment for this service. In that case, you will be responsible for payment of that co-pay at each visit. The private pay rate for an initial consultation is $180 and a follow-up consultation is $100. This is considered a discounted rate for private pay clients, those who pay out-of-pocket at the time of service. Private payment is paid with a credit card/cash at the time you book your appointment. If we submit a claim for nutrition counseling and your claim is denied, you will be responsible to pay the full insurance rate.

You can schedule nutrition counseling without a doctor’s referral. Some plans may need a doctor’s referral. Check with your insurance prior to making an appointment.

That depends on your plan. Because there are many different plans, it is your responsibility to call the member services number on the back of your card to verify your coverage for nutrition counseling and to see if there is a limit to the number of nutrition counseling sessions allowed.

Any cancellation has to be made 24-48 hours in advance, if you are not able to make to the appointment. At the time of cancellation, you can re-schedule your appointment. Late cancellation charges of $25 shall be applied if cancellation not within 8 hours or less of your appointment time.
